So then you might encounter the one-piece-metallic on late E30's then. Hey guys, so how much torque a getrag 260/5 will withstand without blowing to pieces? this is asuming regular track use, with no drag racing style launches. with thick rubber on the back (lets say 265). what is the usual breaking point when punishing this gearboxes? is it the housing or the gears?.
