I started out shooting federal 2 3/4" #8 shot with a modified choke. It shot great but wouldn't cycle. I read up on their website and apparently is has to shoot at least 1200 fps to cycle.I've shot my Tristar .410 pump for about 9+ months and really love it!!! Absolutely nothing to look at and the shape of the black plastic forearm gives me nightmares. I shoot this gun twice a week and have used it last dove season with great success.
